Angels are beings - archetypes actually - existing outside the different dimensions as we know them. They are the Master Programmers of the Main Programme we know as the Universe. Through their guidance and in accordance with Divine Will, we can positively influence the creative energy systems of any individual or group. This could be on a physical, emotional psychological or spiritual level.
Belief in Angels has formed part of humanity’s spiritual quest down through the ages, and references to angels can be found in every religion, every culture. As such, it is not necessary to alter your beliefs in any way in order to connect with the Angelic Kingdom of Light.
Interest in Angels grows daily and their loving, supportive presence is unmistakable to sensitive adults and children, and to those seeking inner peace through holistic living and spiritual development.
If you have been drawn to Angels because you are looking for deeper meaning to offset the shallowness of modern living, or if you’ve had trauma of one kind or another to deal with, it may comfort you to know that you are certainly not alone.
In these early years of the 21st century, levels of consciousness have continued to rise in many ways, triggering ever greater tests for humankind in general - and 'lightworkers' in particular. On an increasingly frequent basis, we face unprecedented challenges on personal, relationship, family, organisational, national and international levels.
Bitter conflict, appalling injustice, disregard for decent behaviour, corporate greed . . ., and all the other very low energy manifestations of confusion and discontent, cause deep distress. Holistic living/spiritual development helps us make sense of this and find our way of dealing with it effectively.
For some, the struggle to manage day by day and to avoid being sucked down into fear and despair can be exhausting. Everywhere there are examples of people masking their insecurities by acquiring more and more possessions; by seeking to dominate others - with wide reaching harmful consequences.
We seem to have forgotten that there is an immense, expansive, cosmic pool of unconditional love; also that help is there for the asking, including holistic/spiritual development to help make sense of this and find our way of dealing with it effectively.
Angels can help us re-connect to and be totally part of the cosmic pool of love - for the good of all of creation. Angels are constantly working to promote peace and harmony and they can help in so very many ways - big and small - but only if asked!
So ask Angels for their help; work with them in conjunction with your own individual concerns, and also take time to enlist their support in helping to enlighten humankind to achieve lasting peace and harmony through unconditional love and understanding.
Whatever your beliefs, it is not necessary to alter them in any way in order to communicate with the Angelic Kingdom of Light.
So What Exactly Are Angels?
The word Angel is thought to derive from the Greek word angeloi meaning "messenger" and the Sanskrit word angiras meaning "divine spirit" and "courier".
Angels emanate from a different stream of consciousness to that of humans, from the dimension of original divine source.
Having the ability to open channels of divine communication, they are messengers of god/of all that is/of the absolute source and universal law . . . whatever resonates with your beliefs, whether such beliefs are of an organised religious nature or not.
Angels are messengers, guides and teachers and have many other tasks and missions. They have no physical bodies as they are beings of light and energy who occupy the non physical dimensions that co-exist alongside ours.
Being high spiritual beings of pure energy, they vibrate on such a high fast level that, although they occupy the same space as humans, they are usually invisible to us.
As such we tend to recognise their presence via sensations or a subtle knowing. On the occasions when we are able to glimpse them more physically, we see them as incredibly bright beings – often manifesting in rapid movements of surreal shimmering light, flashes or patterns of brilliant colour.
Belief in angels has formed part of humanity’s spiritual quest down through the ages, and references to angels can be found in every religion, every culture.
Therefore, when we see angels in the most physical manifestation of which they are capable, they tend to take on whatever appearance best fits in with our ability to perceive them. Often this will be in human form - with wings - because that is how our memory has recorded them based on how they have been portrayed since time immemorial in art, literature and religious texts.
Whilst they may appear to us as male or female (and may indicate a male or female name) this is just to help us with our connection to them, since angels are androgynous. They are beyond the need for sexuality because their masculine and feminine energies are perfectly balanced. Also since they do not see themselves as separate from each other and all that is, they are not known to each other by individual names.
It is said that angels work on the golden ray of true unconditional love and wisdom and, certainly, angels have immeasurable love and compassion for us and for our planet as we work through these times of huge turbulence and change which are causing us so very much distress.
Here is how Christine Core, co-founder of Angelic Reiki® describes Angels:
The History of Angels: An Empowering Revelation
I want to take you on a journey from myth to fact.
Today many people are connecting to angels and they are becoming an important part of many people's lives. Pictures of angels are seen everywhere in spiritual magazines, books and angel card Tarot packs. Writers like Doreen Virtue have popularised angels in an amazing way. I'm sure that many people reading this have experienced angels themselves or know of someone who works with that energy. I am also sure that there are some of you reading this who feel you are missing out because you do not see angels or you feel that you have not experienced this special contact. In this article I want to sweep away some of the myths and reveal to you that we are all intimately connected with angels.
The story goes back to ancient Egypt, some 10,000 years ago, but first of all I would like to talk about "Images and symbols ". Throughout the whole of human history we have used images as a representation of something that we cannot understand in any other way. For example today, we would find it difficult to be constantly expressing our devotion and love for our partner, so we wear a ring to symbolise our ongoing connection to that person. All big businesses use images or symbols to specifically try and convey a more powerful message than that of simply using words could express. You may find it interesting to start to notice what the various symbols convey to you over and above the words that are used in advertising. For example your bank! Images and symbols are very powerful portrayers of messages. Images and symbols have always been used to represent spiritual concepts that we humans cannot totally understand. One of the most enduring symbols of spirit in many, many cultures has been the feather. American Indians use both feathers in their ceremonial dress and the image of an eagle to represent spiritual wisdom.
Now to go back to Ancient Egypt. One of the oldest symbols or images that I can find that uses the imagery of wings attached to a human form to represent a spiritual concept is the Goddess Maat. All the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses, known as The Neteru, represent a key archetype or principle. The Goddess Maat is depicted as a slim woman with outstretched wings which are at least as long as she is tall. She wears a single feather on her head. Maat is not the only Egyptian Neteru to be depicted with feathers or wings, but she is the one most linked to the story of the history of Angels.
All the wisdom and knowledge that underpins Western society came out of Egypt. Many influential figures and great teachers went to Egypt to learn. Moses, Pythagoras, Plato, Jesus, and many more. The centres of learning were the temples, but in the year 3000 BC the key centre was the library at Alexandria. With the desecration of the temples and the destruction of the library in Alexandria immense knowledge was lost. In 48 BC the library was partially destroyed by fire by Julius Caesar and in the third century AD the Roman Emperor Aurelian caused significant further destruction during the wars at that time.
So the ancient wisdom of the true spiritual significance of the imagery and symbology of feathers and wings was lost.
The story continues at the Treaty of Nicaea in 325 AD when the Roman Emperor Constantine, in order to keep his power, made a political decision to merge the Pagan and Christian beliefs of his empire into one religion; The Roman Religion. The Emperor Constantine had a Pagan mother, but Christianity was so powerfully sweeping his empire that he needed to embrace this new philosophy. At the Treaty of Nicaea all documents and writings that did not support the new religious philosophy were destroyed.
At the Council of Rome of 745, Pope St. Zachary, intending to clarify the Church's teaching on the subject of angels and curb a tendency toward angel worship, condemned obsession with angelic intervention and angelolatry, but reaffirmed the approval of the practice of the reverence of angels. This synod struck many angels' names from the list of those eligible for veneration in the Church of Rome, including Uriel. Only the reverence of the archangels mentioned in the recognized Catholic canon of scriptures, Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, remain licit.
Before 300 AD there is virtually no recorded reference in the Christian church to angels, but by the 13th and 14th century great artists like Michelangelo and Raphael were using angelic symbology in religious paintings. These pictures were of men with wings and as we know there had been a shift from the dominance of female energy to dominance of male energy in the last two thousand years.
In the New Age we have simply elaborated on the Christian image of an angel. As this story illustrates, this image has come from a lack of knowledge of what an angel really is. The information as to the true nature of angels is part of the wisdom of Atlantis and was passed to the great civilisation of ancient Egypt.
So to understand the truth behind the images and symbols that we use to represent angels we need to go back to find out what the ancient Egyptians were representing through their goddess Maat.
The Goddess Maat symbolised Cosmic Law. So what is Cosmic Law? It is the Laws or Archetypes of Creation. They are the rules or designs that God or The Divine Creator used to create all. Everything has to come from basic principles and the basic principle of this creation is three. This is represented in all philosophies, The Holy Trinity, The Father Son and Holy Ghost, Isis, Osiris and Horus, Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. In a way Cosmic Law is very simple. It is number and the relationships of numbers which we represent as geometry. Unfortunately our education in mathematics has been very poor. We have not been taught the magic and poetry of number, so many of us shun away from mathematics and feel it is too complicated. It is not it is very simple. The three main numbers that create the law for our universe are 3, 7 and 12. Seven days of creation, 12 signs in the zodiac etc.
So if the true meaning of the image of wings is the creative principle of the universe, then angels are a representation of the law of the creative energy of number and shape. The highest Archangel has always been recognized as the Archangel Metatron. This energy is mentioned in the Bible, for example in Genesis 5:24. The simplest geometry that we know is the sphere and the whole of this creation is based on the sphere. The earth is round, we go round the Sun, we lived through cycles and had DNA is a spiral. It is all circular energy. If we draw one circle, then three circles, then seven, and then at twelve we end up with what is known as Metatron Cube.
It does not matter whether all this makes sense to you are not, but what I am saying is that the truth behind the imagery that we use to represent an angel is simply the patterns of creation. It is the Divine in motion. If you have ever felt the energy to create something, whatever that might be, you HAVE connected to the angelic realms. You do NOT have to see the image of an angel or feel tingling in your aura to know that you are connected to the angelic realms. Every creative idea is an angel, all the principles of creation are angels. In a way there is nothing that is not angelic, because if it is created it has to fulfil the Divine laws of creation and this is the Angelic Kingdom.
Those who see the image of an angel are experiencing something beautiful, but you do NOT need to see the image to know and be totally connected to what that image represents.
So please celebrate in the knowledge that you are now and always have been intimately and totally connected to the Angelic Realms and are indeed a walking, living expression of the creative principles of the Divine, THE ANGELIC KINGDOM. Seeing is only one way of connecting to the creative principal of ALL. The Divine Design.
